Another name revealed for WWE’s Mae Young Classic

It was just announced via New Zealand’s official WWE account that Dakota Kai, formerly known as Evie has been announced as a participant in the upcoming Mae Young Classic.

Her signing with WWE was confirmed in August of last year by us and other wrestling websites.

Evie received a tryout with the WWE back in August of 2014 when the company toured Australia and most recently was used as an enhancement talent on NXT in October of 2015 when she faced off against Nia Jax in a losing effort.

On 6th December 2015, Evie made her debut for the Japanese World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion. In her first match she won the vacant Artist of Stardom Championship alongside Hiroyo Matsumoto and Kellie Skater. They lost the title to Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo and Mayu Iwatani in their third defense.

She alongside her Team Slap Happy teammate Heidi Lovelace won the SHIMMER Tag Team titles on volume 84 in a fatal four way tag team match. The duo held the title for 140 days before losing the titles on Volume 89 to Tessa Blanchard and Vanessa Kraven.

Alongside those promotions she is also a member of Pro Wrestling Alliance in Sydney, Australia where she is a former PWWA champion. Evie is a former member of the Impact Pro Wrestling roster in New Zealand, where she is a former three times IPW Womens Champion, the most in the promotions history.
