Wrestler Of The Year 2017 | Holidead

As the year 2017 comes to an end the Squared Circle Sirens teams will be highlighting different wrestlers from across the globe that we feel have made an impact over the past 365 days! Today we will be looking at Holidead!

2017 was the coming out party for Holidead. Whilst she’s been wrestling since 2015 she mostly stayed on the West Coast and did a few tours of Japan alongside her tag team partner Thunder Rosa. In 2017 she was EVERYWHERE. From Sabotage in Texas, to SHINE in Florida, to WOW in NY, to AIW in Ohio she really expanded her horizons over the past 365 days bringing darkness all over North America.

Holidead started out her year after returning from Japan teaming alongside Thunder rosa on the West Coast where they faced off against The Ballard Brothers in a series of matches which saw The Twisted Sisters lose the NWA International Tag Team Titles, a title they held for over 90 days, and a title that they made history with, being the first female tag team to hold the belts and the only team to have defended the titles in Japan.

In March she made her way to Ohio for AIW where she defeated Tasha Steelz at Girls Night Out 19. She stayed making a name for herself outside of California by appearing for the Warriors of Wrestling promotion in New York where she became a staple. With Thunder Rosa, they captured the vacant Sabotage Wrestling Tag Team Titles after defeating Team PAWG at WOW.

With golden aspirations, Holidead made her way to Florida to take part in the SHINE Nova Tournament where she went to a time limit draw with Ivelisse Velez in the first round. While she didn’t capture the title she earned herself a plethora¬†of fans and a permanent spot on the SHINE roster. However, it wasn’t long till Holidead captured gold as she defeated Rachael Ellering for the Resistance Pro Women’s Title in Chicago.

Holidead has made her debut at so many new places throughout 2017 and I think she’ll become an even bigger star in 2018.
