Trish Stratus named 2016 Iron Mike Award Winner

Trish Stratus has been named the Cauliflower Alley Club’s 2016 Iron Mike Mazurski Award winner.

The announcement came today in a press release from the Club (CAC) and marks the first time that a female competitor has received the prestigious award.

“To be recognized among my peers is incredible, and to be the first woman to receive this award is absolutely amazing.” Trish said. “I can’t thank the Cauliflower Alley Club enough for this honor. I look forward to reconnecting with both my former roster colleagues – and the heroes I watched growing up – at CAC 2016!”

As stated on the CAC website, the Award, “Pays tribute to individuals who are immediately recognizable both to those in wrestling and to many people outside the business. This individual must have achieved success in more than one field, all while displaying high moral character at all times.”

Larry “The Axe” Hennig, father of the late Curt Hennig better known as Mr. Perfect was last year’s recipient. Other past recipients include Bret “Hitman” Hart, Jesse Ventura and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Trish’s trainer Ron Hutchison, winner of the 2015 trainers award, is thrilled to see Trish be welcomed into “the ring of friendship”.

“Goers will see what I have been fortunate enough to bear witness to for a very long time,” Hutchinson said. “You’d have to search long and hard to find anybody, male or female, as passionate, as focused, as endearing, as hard-working or as deserving as Trish Stratus.”

Just another great honor for the G.O.A.T women’s wrestler(I know there’s some who will say Moolah, but Moolah was before my time).

An arguement can also be made for Lita being the goat. Not disagreeing about Trish tho, was a huge Trish and Lita fan growing up. Both left behind great legacies.

When it comes to Lita and Trish just call it a tie. They’re both the GOAT of Women’s Wrestling.

Moolah wrestled in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, I’ll go out on a limb and say that was before anybody that post on this site time. Trish or as Lava posted below, Lita, is the undisputed GOAT of Women’s Wrestling. Edit: Moolah did hold the championship for like 30 years according to Wiki, so like with men’s wrestling it’s hard to determine who the undisputed GOAT is.

Might as well go by era’s: Moolah was the G.O.A.T of her era. Trish and Lita are co G.O.A.T of their era. With the current era: Sasha can become the next G.O.A.T when WWE gets her out of the comedy Team BAD group. Sasha has charisma and talent and WWE are wasting her by not turning her into the huge mega star she can easily become.
