Sexy Star quits AAA?

According to the Wrestling Observer Luchadora Sexy Star has quit Mexico promotion AAA.

She went on Twitter and said she vacated her half of the AAA mixed tag titles a few weeks ago, which she and Pentagon Jr. were to defend against Daga & Taya.

At the start of the latest AAA show, Pentagon Jr. did a promo saying that Sexy Star wasn’t there, but he was still going to give the people the match advertised and defend the title in a handicap match. While this was going on, Sexy Star was at home on Twitter telling people she was having a wonderful night at home. After the match, Pentagon Jr. announced he was going to vacate the titles because it’s a mixed tag title and he no longer has a partner.

Dorian Roldan then on Twitter wrote, “Only the best win and give up their titles which they know it’s correct.” It was clearly a shot at Sexy Star for the no-show, as she tweeted that she put her kid to sleep and was now going to sleep. Backstage apparently Roldan told the crew that Sexy Star had called the office earlier in the week and said she was retiring from wrestling.

Most figure she means retire from wrestling in Mexico as most assume she will continue with Lucha Underground next season.
