Former TNA Knockout Lei’D Tapa announced that she would be stepping into a boxing ring to make her boxing debut on November 17th, 2017 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Grady Cole Center.
Tapa was trained by George South and her uncle, Sione “The Barbarian” Vailahi. She debuted as a professional wrestler in 2011.
Having been previously working for Total Nonstop Action, recently she has appeared on NXT TV and served as an alternate during WWE’s Mae Young Classic after taking part in a tryout at the WWE Performance Center earlier this year.
Tapa has also made the transition to MMA, where she is currently 0 – 2. Losing to Gabi Garcia in 2015 and Reina Miura in 2017.
