Kairi Hojo signs with WWE

Kairi Hojo of Stardom has agreed to a three-year contract according to Dave Meltzer.

Hojo, 28 is one of the major players in the Japanese women’s promotion STARDOM and will be leaving the company this April to head over to Orlando, Florida to start with WWE’s developmental promotion NXT.

She got her start in wrestling training with Stardom in 2011, graduating STARDOM’s third class of trainees, alongside Act Yasukawa, Natsumi Showzuki and Yuuri Haruka.

As one of STARDOM’s headline acts Hojo has won Artist of Stardom Championship three times,
Goddess of Stardom Championship three times, Wonder of Stardom Championship one time,
World of Stardom Championship one time, and won the 5★Star GP tournament in 2015 as well as the
Goddesses of Stardom Tag League in 2016.

She also recently appeared for Lucha Underground where she and Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani faced off against Pentagon Dark.

    Words can’t even express how amazing of a signing this is, on one end I’m sad about Stardom losing one of their most prominent stars but on the other end I’m overjoyed Kairi has finally made it to the big stage where she can truly become the mega star she was always meant to be on this platform.       Io from what i heard is going to WWE also, they are gearing up for the women’s tourie that is suppose to take place in May
