Hiroyo Matsumoto Wins Sendai Girls World Championship

Saturday afternoon in Japan, Hiroyo Matsumoto defeated Chihiro Hashimoto to become the new Sendai Girls World champion.  She becomes the fifth champion.  It is Matsumoto’s third title, as she is also currently the OZ Academy Openweight Champion and the Stardom Goddesses of Stardom Champion along with Jungle Kyona.

For Hashimoto, she falls on her first defense after holding the belt for 65 days.  She initially held the belt from October 2016 to January 2017, losing it to Aja Kong.  She regained the belt from Kong at the Sendai Girls Korakuen Hall show in April.

We will have more information on the event as it becomes available.
