Candy Lee Wins The IPW NZ Women’s Title

Last night at  Impact Pro Wrestling: New Zealand‘s Nightmare Before Christmas, transgender wrestler Candy Lee defeated IPW:NZ Women’s Champion Britenay to capture the Women’s Championship for the first time in her career in a history-making moment.

The 22-year old, Candy Lee, who just debuted in October of 2016 becomes the first transgender woman to win a title in New Zeland, and only the second transgender wrestler to ever win a title, following in the footsteps of California’s Mariah Moreno who previously held the WILD World Championship, and the NTLL Women’s Championship to name a few.
